Three days after its triumph in Piacenza, Macerata is now facing a Champions League tie in Poland against Reszow in the playoffs 12 first leg.

“This is one of the most important games of the season – said middle blocker Alen Pajenk – The Champions League is one of our big targets of the season. This is a knock-out tie to be played on two games but the first one is away from home and therefore extremely important, we’ll play in a packed and noisy arena, they have excellent players and a lot of experience in Europe”.

On the other side of the net, there will be the German Shops, who had been key in knocking out Macerata in the Champions League semi-final 2007 when he was at Friedrichshafen.
