Beaten by Latina in the semi-final of the fifth Nonno Gino Memorial, Avellino ended their pre-season with a win. It registered a come-back victory over Sora to finish third with Slovakian Milan Bencz standing out.
“We told ourselves we wanted to win – said coach Totire – We did not get off to the greatest start because of the quality of our opponent. We were a bit tense and made a few too many mistakes but we got back on track . I’ve seen the stats, they’re really good, I’m extremely satisfied”.
