New coach Massimo Eccheli could not have hoped for a better debut in the Serie A. Four straight wins with the latest against Castellana Grotte.
“We prepared ourselves knowing that Marco Fabroni was very unlikely to play – said coach Eccheli – We knew we were up against a stronger team than us and without our starting setter. We did not expect much and had little to lose. The important thing was not to lose our heads in the third set when Castellana Grotte snatched the second by the minimum margin.
