Tomorrow night, Trentino’s Champions League campaign will be under way as it takes on the Serbians of Red Star Belgrade. This will be Trento’s fifth participation. The Italians have won on their first three attempts, while they were defeated by the future champs, the Russians of Kazan, in the quarter-finals last season.
“We want to try to win the champions League again – said coach Stoytchev – Red Star has a great tradition, typical of the Serbian school which is excellent, they will take risks without any pressure. We have to be immediately focused. It was nice to celebrate the victory in the World Club Championships but we have to find the determination needed for the big occasions because in a group like ours, we can’t afford to get it wrong”.
