Coach Fracoscia had everyone available except for spiker Ranghieri in the first friendly game of the season against Città di Castello. The latter could not count on hi foreigners, Fromm, Van Walle and Rosalba. This was a typical opening game of the pre-season in which the coaches took notes of the things to work on. Città di Castello won it 3-1.
