Alassio – Piacenza’s first official test ended positively. Except for the black-out of the second set, the game was tight all the way. Sokolov collected a huge 32 points to lead his men to victory in an hour and a half.
“Everybody worked extremely hard in this first four weeks of pre-season – said coach Monti – It was therefore logical that all of them earned some minutes during the game. We have to work a lot on the reception but I am rather satisfied. On the serve we can a little better too. On the other side of the net, there was a team hitting hard on the serve and which has a great potential”.
