Perugia is up in the A1, and this triumph had a big Serbian wave flowing over the various opponents during the whole season. Coach Kovac was guiding things on the bench while captain Vujevic and Drago Petric were exceptional during the whole campaign.
“We achieved something big – said captain Vujevic – I don’t think anyone expected us to be promoted directly and with a game in hand. I really felt at ease in this group composed of many young players. Everybody worked extremely hard, they never gave up and that allowed us to overcome all the challenges and difficulties we had to face”.
