The Italian Champions of Macerata won their home game 3-0 but Castellana Grotte fought hard for the first two sets and even had a five-point advantage in the third. The players might have lacked a little courage and were punished by Travica and co and never need too many gifts.
“We played face to face for the first two sets against a very strong team – said sport director Bruno De Mori – All in all, we played a good game, there was some positive. Shame we lost that third set, with a little more focus, we could have forced a fourth set”.
