The postponed game of round 3 went to Trentino. Thanks to this victory over Modena, the world champions are back within just one point of Macerata. Modena has not won in Trento for the past five years and a half. MVP: Matey Kaziyski, key in Trento’s reaction in the second set.
Matey Kaziyski (Itas Diatec Trentino): “Modena played brilliantly in the first set, they made it real hard for us and made us understand we’d have to play better if we wanted to win. We got back to our own self in the second set, we changed our attitude and deserved to win the following three sets to move up close to Macerata in the table”.
Angelo Lorenzetti (coach Casa Modena): “It obviously can happen to anyone to lose in Trento but it’s a shame it went like that. In the first set, we executed well but then we made too many mistakes. We kept giving away some points from ordinary situations”.
