V-Day Sustenium
Win a ticket for the league final
“22/4” is a fantasy game between all the fans of Italian volleyball. By creating a 22-second video, you will be able to take part in the promotion of the V-Day Sustenium, to take place in Assago on April 22. Some of the best videos will be rewarded with two tickets for the league final. It doesn’t matter what is the quality of the video and where it is made, what matters is the finding of a nice idea that could convince fans to come to the final, even those living far away. The videos can be sent at press@legavolley.it if they are under 9 megabyte. They can also directly be posted on YouTube, Facebook or other sites by indicating the link in the mail. The deadline is April 17 at 12am.
Serie A2 Sustenium
Last round
The A2 has come to the last round. Perugia is already champion and will be promoted in the A1, while Cantù and Atripalda are going down. We also know the teams taking part in the platouts and playoffs: among those, Genova, Loreto, Santa Croce and Corigliano will start from the 8th of final. The others are directly through to the quarters. Remains to be seen what will be the post season match-ups, which this last round will reveal.
Energy Resources Carilo Loreto – Pallavolo Molfetta. Loreto will chase 8th place, while Molfetta can still hope for second place.
Cassa Rurale Cantù – Caffè Aiello Corigliano. The northern team is back down after one year in the elite. Corigliano will remain 11th, ready for the playoffs.
BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte – NGM Mobile Santa Croce. Castellana Grotte will defend second place against Santa Croce, still in the race for 8th place.
Sir Safety Perugia – Edilesse Conad Reggio Emilia. Celebration time at the PalaEvangelisti arena for Kovac’s team, which is already champion and promoted in the A1. Reggio Emilia will try to ruin the party as it prepares for the playouts.
Carige Genova – Club Italia Roma. Franco Bertoli took over the Genova bench this week just before the playoffs, in which they had reached the semi-finals last year. Club Italia needs the three points to go directly to the playouts final and avoid the semi-final against Reggio Emilia.
CheBanca! Milano – Gherardi SVI Città Di Castello. Both have secured playoff quarter-final participation. Milan can still move up two places above Sora and Segrate, while Città di Castello has third place in sight.
Globo Banca Popolare del Frusinate Sora – Sidigas Atripalda. Sora will have to defend itself from the attack of Milan in the table and try to leapfrog Segrate at the same time for the fifth place, which would be worth a 1-0 advantage in the playoff quarter-final series. Atripalda is already down.
Cicchetti Isernia – Crazy Diamond Segrate. Isernia needs the 3 points and hope of a defeat from Club Italia to start the playouts from the final. As for Segrate, they need a win on any score to remain fifth and have a 1-0 advantage in the playoff quarter-final series.
