Sisley won its 1100th match in history on a 3-1 score against Monza. Thanks to this victory, Belluno moves over its opponent of the day in the league table in fifth place.

Roberto Piazza (coach Sisley Belluno): “This is an extremely important victory, not only for our league position but also for the level displayed tonight. There has been a lot of long rallies, really a hard-fought game. We lost our focus and played too easy in the second set and we paid the price. Then thanks to some great dig we managed to get back to business. Monza showed this is a team that never gives up and we knew it wouldn’t be any different. Let’s enjoy this crucial win and from Monday we’ll start preparing another big match against Cuneo”.
Emanuele Zanini (coach Acqua Paradiso Monza): “Once again today, we lacked a little bit of consistency. After the second set, won thanks to the strong serves of Forni, we did not manage to keep up the pace. Obviously, Belluno had stepped up too. We played in flashes against a tough and tenacious team. They played in the cup which allowed them to keep their rhythm, while we have unfortunately been upset after the break. Unfortunately, Conte and Rooney were not at their best, and that’s a shame because Modena was just a point in front”.
