Monza qualified for the Cev Cup semi-finals thanks to a home victory over Remat Zalau. The Italians, who had already won the first leg in Romania 3-1, improved on that performance and won 3-0. In the semi-finals, Monza will meet Dinamo Moscow, Russia.

Peter Nagy (Remat Zalau): “We are obviously disappointed not to have reached the semi-finals, but we knew it was going to be difficult, because Monza is a strong team. Following the first leg, we came here trying to do our best, we did not manage to impose our game. Monza was better than us, I’m just sorry that we did not play to the full of our potential”.

Milos Nikic (Acqua Paradiso Monza Brianza): “I am thrilled, this will be my first Cev Cup semi-final. Now, we’ll be up against an even stronger opponent, Dinamo Moscow, it will be more difficult. I think we played well today, especially blocking and attacking. Hopefully, we’ll keep doing well, both in Europe and in the next league games”.
