A long battle of over two hours and a half between two teams fighting not to go down ended with San Giustino celebrating a tie-break win decided on some Patak serves and blocks.

Stefano Moro (CMC Ravenna): “We were not far at all from taking this game but in the end that wasn’t to be, credit to San Giustino. We know now it will be very difficult to stay up but no one of us wants to give up hope, we’ll keep fighting until the end”.

Andrea Sartoretti (sport director Energy Resources San Giustino): “Going back to the Pala De André Arena is a very special feeling. I have won a lot here as a player and I have many friends. But tonight I was on the other bench, and I am partially happy with the final outcome. We wanted all three points. Mc Kibbin’s injury could have been lethal but we hanged on. The second set was the key to the game, Ravenna had the performance of its life, while we still played with ups and downs”.
