An Emiliano Giglioli block on Enzo Di Manno handed Molfetta its qualification for the Italian Cup Final Four. Molfetta disposed of Milan in the quarter finals in three sets and becomes the first qualified for the event to take place on March 3-4 as the other quarter finals will take place next week. Molfetta will meet the winner of Segrate versus Loreto in the semi-final.

“It’s been a strange game, we did not found a good rhythm, our opponents played rather poorly – explained coach Stoytchev – Still, I could try a variety of different solutions such as Sokolov as spiker. Zygadlo played in his usual position and did it very well after two games out. Djuric served with consistency and did what I had asked him before the game. Everything went well but this is a game that did not give us much material to analyse”.
