Led two sets to nil, Loreto was close to force a tie-break in Reggio Emilia but in the end surrendered 29-27 in the fourth. Still without Peda and Belcecchi, Loreto struggled until coach Fracascia sent Nobili on and moved Ranghieri to outside hitter in the third. Loreto had its chances in the fourth but Reggio made less mistakes.
