Perugia has built the basis already for the coming season in the A1 following its A2 league triumph. Vujevic, middle blocker Tomasetti, outside hitter Tamburo and Daldello have all been extended. Besides, the club made its first signing with young Australian outside hitter, Edgar (212cm).
“I am happy with the players with have so far in the team – said coach Kovac – I was as happy last season with every single player we had because everyone greatly contributed to the success. But we know that in the A1 you need something more, which is why we have to strengthen the squad. I am sure we will do it, and we have to because the qualitative leap is huge”.
