Genova appointed Franco Bertoli as new head coach for the last part of the season. Claudio Agosto wanted to stay but as assistant coach, which made the club look on the outside for a new leader on the bench.
“Bertoli showed great enthusiasm and confidence when we offered him the job – said sport director Augusto Bruschettini – We are certain everybody will benefit from Bertoli’s appointment. We still believe in this team, we have top quality players. It has not gone as we’d wish so far but we believe in this group, we are curious to see how it will go in this end of season”.
