The tradition of adding a youngster every year in the roster, which started five years ago, will continue in 2011-12. Indeed, Trentino promoted young Filippo Lanza to the first team after two years spent in B1 and A2 with Club Italia, the team of the Federation. Last season, Lanza helped Trentino win the Under 20 Junior League title. He will arrive for the pre-season after a month and a half of summer camp with the Under 23 team.
“It’s a dream come true for me – said Lanza – Ever since I arrived in Trento to play the Under 16 league, I wanted one day to make it into the Serie A1 team. I am extremely excited, hopefully this will be a great experience in which I hope to improve consistently and have a lot of fun”.
