Quarter-final game 2 in Santa Croce ended in defeat for Isernia but the latter played with intensity and made it really hard for the hosts. Santa Croce is now 2-0 up as it benefitted from a 1-0 start due to its better regular season position. Game 3 will be in Isernia on Wednesday.

“We played well in attack and on the serve – said setter Rodman Valera – But at the same time we struggled to receive their serve, which got our reception in trouble. I think the end of the first set influenced the rest of our encounter. Now we should not think of the series as a whole but only focus on Game 3”.
