Born in 1993, Perpaolo Polselli arrived in Sora two years ago from Aquino, he was playing the Under18 league. As soon as he arrived in Sora, he joined the group coached by Cortese and now he is happy to make an hour and a half trip to get to Sora. At the beginning of the season, he had indeed his first big opportunity with the first team, coached by Alberto Gatto.
“It was the end of training and I was doing my stretching as usual – said Pols as his friends call him – My two coach, Cortese and Colucci, called me, looked at me in the eyes and said ‘you’ve been called for the Serie A and tomorrow you’re playing against the Algerian national team. After the emotions of receiving and wearing the official Serie A shirt with my name on, coach Gatto told me ‘do a good warm up, you’ll be on’. I thought I was going to enjoy the friendly from the bench but instead I was on court. I was quite tense during the warm up and my head was spinning, seeing flashes of what could happen, but then my teammates managed to cool me down and made me feel like one of them. I had to tell everything in details to my friends. Now I just hope I’ll have to chance to do the preparation with the first team”.
