Latina travels to Monza with the fifth place at stake. Monza had a tough fixture list to start the season: they were beaten in Trento and Modena, while they won at home against Padova and defeated Ravenna away from home. They have also begun their Cev Cup campaign with a win against the Finnish team of Lakaapaa this week.
“Monza has made some changes this summer, first of all with the coach – explained Dario Simoni – Then, they brought in setter De Cecco, Nikic and libero Rossini. This means the club made an extra effort to improve a roster that finished fourth last season. I think there are therefore not many teams they believe are stronger than them in the league”.
