Verona announced the signing of a new outside hitter: Mitja Gasparini. Born in 1984, he comes from Slovenia and played last season in the Polish league with Jastrzebski Wegiel. Gasparini has never played in the Italian league but he gathered a lot of experience in Europe and helped his team to reach the Champions League Final Four last season.
“The team is starting to take shape – said coach Bagnoli – This is an interesting group, after the young players Zingel Smerilli and Patriarca, we’ll now have the pair Meoni-Gasparini, which will definitely be reliable”.
