Del Federico’s team gathered its first home win of the season against Loreto and stays in the groups of teams fighting for a place in the playoffs. In a game full of ups and downs, Yordanov and Meszaros were once again the key men to Genova’s success. A spike from Yordanov and a block from Ruiz sent the hosts on the right track in the tie-break, while Meszaros helped build a 6-3 lead. Loreto managed to get back within one (10-9) but Meszaros and Yordanov again spiked to go 13-11 up. A missed serve from Janusek meant Genova had 3 match points. One was enough.
