V-Day presentation
In a crowded room of CONI’s Foro Italico in Rome, the V-Day was presented this morning at a press conference. This will be the final act of the 66th championships in Italian volleyball history. The event will take place at Rome‘s Palalottomatica Sunday, May 15 starting at 18:00 and it is organized by the Italian Volleyball League in collaboration with Volley Events 2020, the committee born from the Col of the Volleyball World Championships, chaired by the President of M. Roma Volley, Massimo Mezzaroma.
For the fifth consecutive final (Italian Cup 2010, V-Day 2010, SuperCup 2010, Italian Cup 2011 and V-Day 2011), it will be Trentino and Cuneo battling for the trophy. The top two teams at the end of the regular season overcame tight and thrilling semi-finals against Modena and Macerata to get the right to play for the Italian League title.

The V-day Sustenium will be able to boast the official logo of the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification. The Italian Volleyball league and Volley Events 2020 are extremely honoured.
Vladimir Nikolov, Semi-final MVP
Cuneo’s outside hitter, Vladimir Nikolov, was named MVP of the playoff semi-finals. The Bulgarian played exceptionally well with 104 points scored, among which 89 spikes, 7 aces and 8 blocks. Nikolov will receive his award before that start of the league final on Sunday May 15.
