Matey Kaziyski quarter-final MVP
Matey Kaziyski was named MVP of the playoffs quarter-finals. The Trentino spiker earned the award thanks to three nominations in each of the three games played against San Giustino. He helped his team go through to the semi-finals with 17, 16 and 20 points. He will receive the award on Sunday as Trento faces Modena in the semi-final Game 3.

Giuseppe Patriarca (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “It was obvious it was going to be a long and difficult series: these are the playoff semi-finals and our opponent is strong and tough. It’s normal that each game is a battle. We were a bit disappointed with the way the second set of Game 2 ended. With a different outcome, the game could have gone differently. On Saturday, we’ll do everything possible not to make the same mistakes: at times we lacked effectiveness, we can improve on that and do a lot better. Now we want to win on Saturday and go back to Macerata with a 2-1 lead”.
Facundo Conte (Lube Banca Marche Macerata): “The way things went in Game 2 was perfect. We would never have imagined such a beautiful script, if we were given the chance to write it. Now that the series is even, it will be up to us to make the breakthrough in their arena. Game 3 will be extremely tough: Cuneo proved it was a great team on Wednesday and to beat them, we’ll have to play again at a very high level, with great intensity and consistency. We are confident”.
