Heart, pride and the push of the fans did the trick for Macerata on its home court. A full house witnessed a superb performance from Berruto’s team who defeated Treviso 3-0 in Game five to qualify for the semi-final, in which Macerata will face Cuneo from Sunday 24. Martino MVP.

Roberto Piazza (coach Sisley Treviso): “Tonight, the team did not believe in its chance as much as it should have. It’s true that Macerata is a great team, but we have given up far too easily, especially at the beginning of sets. These are games for real men, we have to ask ourselves if that’s what we’ve all been. Still, I don’t want to reproach anything to my team”.
