Minute silence for lost soldier


 


The Italian Volleyball Federation, in association with Coni, decided there would be a minute silence on all Serie A courts on Sunday to pay tribute to Lieutenant Massimo Ranzani, who dramatically passed away today in Afghanistan.

Cuneo in Playoffs 6 against Dinamo Moscow


 


The Champions League is back with the Playoffs 6, in which Cuneo will face Dinamo Moscow. The first leg will take place this Wednesday in Italy. The winner of this double header will go through to the Final Four, to take place on March 26-27 in Blolzano. In quality of organizer, Trento is already qualified and is waiting to know which are the team it will face in the big event. If Cuneo was to go through, there would be an Italian derby in the semi-final according to the regulations of the CEV.

Treviso qualified for the Cev Cup final for the fifth time of its history. The first leg of the final will be in Belluno against Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle, another Polish team.

Macerata celebrated its qualification for the Challenge Cup final as it defeated E.A Patron Lux. This will be its sixth continental final of its history. Macerata will now fight it out with the Turkish side of Izmir. First leg to be played in Italy on March 9.
