Thanks to three-point victories in the previous round, Trento and Cuneo are already through to the next phase of the Champions League. Once again, Belchatow had to surrender against Trentino, which had already defeated them a few weeks ago in the Club World Championships final in Doha, Qatar. As for Cuneo, it won in Kragujevac, Serbia, and is currently second in group B behind Maaseik with one game left to play. On the other hand, Treviso won’t go any further following its defeat in Russia against Belgorod. Still, Piazza’s team has a chance to be amongst the four teams making it into the Cev Cup Challenge Round. A 3-0 is required against Fenerbahce or at least a victory, hoping that the other results will go in its favour.
