The A1 season ended 2 weeks ago, two weeks that were not enough to dampen the emotions after the club went extremely close from an unbelievable breakthrough. The team had only gathered four points in the first half of season, before becoming one of the best and most feared team of the league in the second part. In the end, despite the fact that the team is going down, there is great enthusiasm in the club.
“Despite the defeat, we realised how big can volleyball be here in Castellana, and how much the fans love this sport – said the President – This really gives us great motivation to continue what we had started. We’re already working for next season, we’ll register for the top league as reserve team, and the team will be built around some of the most important players that constituted the team this season. Obviously the first thing we’re focusing on is the coaching staff but for sure Castellana Grotte will be competitive”.
