Over a thousand fans were there to support Genova but it proved to be its last encounter as Padova deservedly advanced to the playoff final in this Game 4. Still, the crowd knows what a great season it’s been and acknowledged it with a standing ovation and chants saying “we’re proud of you” at the end of the game.
“We lost against a great team that played at its best tonight – said coach Del Federico – We have no regrets, we have given everything we had and we are proud to have come this far”.
