Bologna had the better on Mantova, bottom of the table, although it was more difficult than it was first expected. Hugo Conte’s boys dominated the first two sets before collapsing in the third. It even ran the risk of losing the fourth, in which it cancelled out no less than seven set points before eventually clinching it 31-29.
