An outstanding Matteo Martino was not enough to claim victory in Slovenia in the playoff 12 first leg against Bled.
“We lost so my performance just comes to nothing in the end – said Martino – Shame it went this way because we did have our opportunities and we should have taken advantage. They surprised us with some changes in their starting line up, but apart from that, I think the defeat can be explained by the fact we hurried things up too much in certain phases of the game, especially in the tight fourth set. Anyway, we can make up for this tie-break defeat. I’m convinced the game we will play next Wednesday at home will be completely different.
