Final same as V-Day: Itas Diatec Trentino and Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo
The final of the Junior League final eight, which is taking place in Sestola, will put face to face Trentino and Cuneo. The game will be on live streaming on www.legavolley.it and differed on Monday at 8.30pm on Snai Sat (220 of Sky).
The Under 20 final will therefore be a remake of the Serie A final, which took place on V-Day the last 9th of May in Bologna. Trentino or Cuneo will succeed to Treviso, which won last year.
Trentino needed a tie break to have the better of Treviso, which was looking for its 8th victory in the competition. Trailed 2-0, Burattini’s boys fought back against Zanin’s team and won the successive three sets to take the game.
In the second semi-final, Macagno’s Cuneo team had it all easy against Roma and won in straight sets. Roma will play for third place against Treviso.
Earlier today, Modena had grabbed 5th place thanks to its tie-break victory over Verona. Seventh place went to Piacenza, four-set winner over Mirandola, the only team that was not coming from a Serie A club.
