The two teams that will fight for a place in the A1 in the playoff final will be Roma and Crema. Game 1 will be in Roma on Saturday 8 May at 8.30pm. Indeed, Crema got rid of the regular season champs, Castellana Grotte, in a deciding game 3 away from home. Monti’s boys took a 2-0 lead. In the third set, Avandro Guerra, quiet thus far, took over, Castellano came on too and Castellana were back in it. However, led by setter Baranowicz, Crema stepped up another gear in the fourth and led from start to finish. Cazzaniga scored the winning point.
