Samuele Papi (Sisley Treviso): “We really want to go back to Cuneo to play game 5. We are a bit angry because of the many missed opportunities against them, be that in game 1 or game 3. We have to play hard, seal the sets and the games when we can. The other day, we were 24-22 up in the fourth set and we let them back in, which was decisive. If you don’t finish your victim off immediately, then you tend to be the one to be sacrificed, so we must take advantage at all cost of the opportunities that come our way. It won’t be easy on Thursday, but this season, every time we played important home games, we did so without fear, and it will have to be that way tomorrow too, with the help of our fans. We can win at home, we proved it in game 2, we have to play a great game to go to the decider. We know each other very well, there is very little difference, it was obvious in the last games of this series. I think that, more than the technical aspect, the motivational one will be key”.

Marco Nuti (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “It will be a tough game tomorrow because it will mean a lot for our opponent: it’s in or out of the playoffs. We can’t afford to make the mistakes of game 2, when Treviso dominated us. We need maximum focus and belief in our ability. The team can’t wait to play. As far as I’m concerned, if Giuliani needs me, I’ll be ready”.

Playoffs: Semi-finals begin tomorrow

Roma is the last qualified to the semi-finals thanks to its triumph in Game 3 over Santa Croce. The last four will fight it out from Thursday night at 8.30pm: Roma will face Bologna, which has lost four out of four against Giuliani’s team, while Castellana will take on Crema.
