Game 2

Sisley Treviso – Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo

(1-0 Cuneo)

Game 1: Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo – Sisley Treviso 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-20)

Past encounters: 74 (47-27 Treviso).

Playoffs: 20 (15-5 Treviso).

Robert Horstink (Sisley Treviso): “We were really close in game 1. We were often ahead and let them back in because of mistakes. We analysed the game and it’s clear that the difference was made by little things in the key moments of the game.

We are confident, we have learned the lesson and we studied our mistakes well in order not to repeat them in game 2. Besides, we’ll need to be more incisive on the serve: we didn’t score many points compared to Cuneo from there, this could really be the key of the game. The losses against Cuneo does not matter, on the contrary, it gives us even more motivation to win this fifth meeting of the season. We definitely feel capable of beating them because our level is close to theirs and we’ll have a chance to prove it tomorrow at the PalaVerde. We’ll need the help of our fans too. Cuneo’s fans have definitely been the 8th men on court for our opponents and I hope it will be like that tomorrow as well in Treviso”.

Marco Pistolesi (General Manager Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “Treviso will really be up for it, we know we’ll be facing a very tough game, like the one played on Sunday in Cuneo. They’ll be fighting on every ball so we’ll have to play with great determination, like we did in that same situation in the quarter-finals against Piacenza”.

Game 2

Lube Banca Marche Macerata – Itas Diatec Trentino

(1-0 Trento)

Game 1: Itas Diatec Trentino – Lube Banca Marche Macerata 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-22)

Past encounters: 25 (14-11 Trento).

Playoffs: 1 (Trento).

Dragan Stankovic(Lube Banca Marche Macerata): “Trento played well in game 1 but we had a poor performance too, definitely below our usual standard. We must bounce back on Wednesday. If Trento was to go 2-0 up in the series, it would become really complicated. We’ll be home, the aim is to play with determination, like we did against Modena in the quarter-finals”.

Andrea Sala (Itas Diatec Trentino): “It will be a very different game than the one played on Sunday in the Pala Trento. First, we’ll be away and then because Macerata will be more determined than ever. This could be a decisive game for them, almost their last chance. They really have to win to get back in the series. Besides, nobody ever won in the PalaTrento this season. We’ll have to contain their will to bounce back and play as we did in game 1, working hard in every area of the game and staying extremely focused. One of the main qualities of this team is its unceasing will to win, whatever game, whatever challenge, even in training. We only think of the coming game, but we perfectly know that a victory in the Fonte Scodella could make things a lot easier for us”.
