Young spiker from the Netherland, Dick Kooy, came to visit as he signed a four-year deal with Modena. Born in 1987, 202cm tall, Kooy dedicated his time to football until, at the advanced age of 16, his uncle Ron Zwerver, Rotterdam’s coach, brought him to volleyball. Kooy has now even made it to the national team, with which he took part in the World League 2009!
