The second Italian edition of the Yuri Sapega memorial is back this season. This event, in memory of the great champion Sapega, is organised by Belluno city and volley. It is scheduled on the 23rd of May from 6pm and it will take place in Belluno’s Spes Arena. Born in Byelorussia in 1965, Yuri Sapega tragically died in Moscow in September 2005. He was a volleyball icon, the star of the CSKA in the 80’s before he signed for Padova, first as a player and then as a coach. In honour of the volleyball ‘Poet’, there will therefore be this friendly between the Italian national team veteran against some ex-Russian champs.
