In Tricase, Latina finished in second place of the “Volley in Salento” trophy. Despite missing out on the final victory, it was still an encouraging tournament as the group was without the Serbians Geric and Nikic, and the Netherlander Snippe. For two hours and a half, Latina hanged on and pushed Taranto to its limits but in the tie-break, Montagnani’s team snatched it 15-13. In the game for third place, Macerata beat Vibo Valentia 3-2.
