On Sunday 5 April at 6pm, Città di Castello will play away at Santa Croce, the current leader of the A2. The little revolution carried out this summer by sport director Alessandro Pagliai last summer turned out to work out just fine. Santa Croce had a fantastic season, maybe going beyond the wildest dream of the staff. They had lost two important players in setter Torre and outside hitter Fabbiani, but they were brilliantly substituted by young prospect Falaschi, who is on the verge of the national team, and Brazilian De Paula.

Città di Castello’s future is a lot less positive. The team will be going down at the end of theseason. “We expected more from the team – said outside hitter Di Manno – We could have done better but we paid the price for our lack of experience and the bad luck”.
