Taranto completed its starting six for the upcoming season with a special one last signing: the ice on the cake of a particularly satisfactory off-season campaign. Chairman Bongiovanni brought in Brazilian spiker Cleber de Oliveira Junior. Beside the many years starring in the Super Liga, the 30-year-old also had experiences abroad: in Greece (Panathinaikos, 2003-04), Russia (Kazan, 2005-06) and Turkey (Ankara, 2006-07). Last season, he played at Pineto with Rivaldo and scored 299 points in 25 games.
