Two aces, one block and a 67% in attack: that’s what Serbian Goran Maric managed as he helped Verona defeat Padova after trailing 2-0.
“We didn’t start well. Padova was better than us in every area of the game – explained Maric – Then some players came off the bench to help us once again and we started to play with a different attitude and we got the win. The whole group contributed again. We knew it was going to be hard but we obtained the two points we needed to make sure we’llstay up. Now we have to keep thinking one game at a time and stay focused: We’ll give it all to reach the playoffs”.
