During the press conference to unveil the new coach Andrea Giani, one of the main topics was the youth department.
“I really appreciate Andrea Giani – said chairman Massimo Mezzaroma – because he is humble and a no-nonsense person. He talks about sport the way it should done”.
“Roma Volley’s project will start from the Under 18 – said the new coach Giani – We need to make them known, and improve to insert them in the under20. This means they will train with the first team too, until they can make the qualitative leap”. Roma have recently been crowned Italian champions at the Under18 level.
