Cretu’s new team definitely has the fighting spirit in its DNA. It showed character, signs that it would never give up even if in the end they had to surrender after an incredible two hours and a half of play against the newly promoted side from Tuscany. The team was aware that Cantagalli’s troops were a serious opponent and it was confirmed right from the start. However, Guarise and co played their game, they even went very close to snatching the win, first in the fourth set, and then in the never-ending decider (24-26). All in all this will go down as a positive debut and a point brought back home.
