There has been many talks but the union between the city of Reggio Emilia and Edilesse Cavriago seemed impossible to break up from the start. Ever since 1300 spectators pushed the team to beat newly promoted team Latina in September 2008, the city of Reggio Emilia fell in love with the team.
It had been said that the ceiling was not high enough according to the regulations and that a solution would have had to be found for 2009-10, but, as it deservedly stayed up, the club will eventually play its second A2 league campaign in Reggio Emilia.
