It will all start again from Gheorge Cretu, who everybody knows as ‘Gianni’, in the 2009-10 season. The Romanian coach remains in Bassano without any surprises. He arrived in Bassano in January 2008 and gathered 32 wins in 47 games. In 2008, he not only saved the team from relagation but almost got it in the playoffs, while he led Bassano to an amazing run this season, coming very close to the playoff final.
“I’m happy to stay, especially for two reasons: First because it makes me extremely happy and it gives me great satisfaction from a professional point of view because it shows I have been appreciated for my work, dedication, for what I have achieved in the year and a half I have been in Bassano: For a coach that is the best possible acknowledgement. The second reason is just a personal happiness, to be able to stay where I feel at home: the atmosphere at the club is great”.
