The celebration of the biggest stars of Italian volleyball began with a few interviews before the big game between the Italian national team and the SEAT All Stars, a selection of the best foreigners of the Serie A.


 


Leonel Marshall: “It’s always a great satisfaction to take part in these events”.


 


Hubert Henno: “It was an emotional return to Roma, where I’ve played for two years”.


 


Giacomo Sintini: “The All Star Volley is a great moment to meet up, an event that puts together competition and show time. This is also a useful occasion for the national coach Anastasi before the next World Championships”.

Roma’s sky was full of stars this Sunday, and the packed gym too. The SEAT All Stars, a selection of the best foreigners of the Serie A, had the better of Anastasi’s Italian national team 3-1, as the new Molten ball was launched. Rome will have more opportunities to watch its national team as it will host the World Championships in 2010.


 


Davide Saitta (SEAT All Stars): “It’s been exciting to play against the Italian national team. They got off to a good start in the first set, but then we stepped up and managed to get the result. Congratulation to Rome for these fantastic supporters”.


 


Angelo Lorenzetti (SEAT All Stars): “I’ve been lucky to coach this team, which showed great spirit. After a difficult start in the first set, the group reacted with great enthusiasm. The crowd was amazing”.


 


Donald Suxho (SEAT All Stars): “I had a lot of fun in this celebration of volleyball. We were a bit lost in the first set, it was the first time we played together but then we managed to pull together and got the win”.


 


Andrea Sala (Italia): “I’m very sorry with the loss. Nothing worked after the first set. It’s a shame we disappointed these amazing supporters who reserved us a special welcome”.
