COPRATLANTIDE PIACENZA – ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO 1-3 (25-19, 16-25, 23-25, 23-25) –

COPRATLANTIDE PIACENZA: Piano, Meoni, Marshall 18, Grassano, Boninfante, Sequeira, Zlatanov 17, Durante (L), Oivanen 6, Urnaut 4, Bjelica 18. Dnp Bravo, Ollari (L). Coach. Lorenzetti Angelo.

ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO: Kaziyski 25, Birarelli 10, Portuondo Juantorena 15, Zygadlo, Vieira De Oliveira, Vissotto Neves 3, Sala 5, Sokolov 10, Herpe, Bari (L). Dnp Fedrizzi, Corsini, Gallosti (L). Coach. Stoytchev Radostin.

CoprAtlantide Piacenza was defeated in its own gym by the European champions Trentino: 1-3 (25-19, 16-25, 23-25, 23-25). Led by Kaziyski, Stoytchev’s men played to perfection to come back from the Pala Banca gym with three crucial points. Piacenza played a good game (except for the second set) pushed by the three thousand season ticket holders, but that was not enough. The Italian champs also lost Meoni in a key moment: the setter was accidentally hit by Marshall during the play and was forced to leave the court for almost all of the fourth set.

Novica Bjelica (CoprAtlantide Piacenza): “Trento is a team that can punsih your mistakes. We gave too much away today in the key moments. We have to be more composed and not let ourselves be influenced by extern factors. It’s not an excuse, but we missed two important players ( Rak and Bravo). We have to forget those two games and focus on the Vibo Valentia game straight away to bounce back”.

Radostin Stoytchev (Itas Diatec Trentino): “I am very happy with my team, we made specific choices and we were proved right. We faced an extremely strong team, and we have been superior, especially mentally. We are still at the beginning so we have to find a better understanding as a team, but the attitude is good”.
