LORETO CLOSER TO SANTA CROCE

Loreto’s winning streak continued in its PalaSerenelli as Crema was the latest victim. The first two sets were tight and spectacular, both decided by the minimum margin. In the third set, the hosts took over  and sealed the game on a 25-15 score. These are three crucial points for Moretti’s team, who keeps closing in on the leaders, Santa Croce. The gap has now been reduced to two points. Indeed, the league leaders were forced to play a tie-break at home by Cavriago.

Meanwhile, Latina was finally back on track after four consecutive losses. Daniele Ricci’s team obtained the three points in Città del Castello and are back on the chase of the main teams of this league.

Bassano has now 52 points thanks to a home win over Bologna. Roma registered a convincing 3-1 victory over Isernia, as Osvaldo Hernandez was outstanding. It is now momentarily 8^th in the table. Mantova finished on the losing end for the second time running against Gioia del Colle, following last week’s defeat against Isernia. Catania is now 5 points away from the danger zone thanks to Castellana Grotte’s victory.
