Roma wins the derby. Loreto moves up to second place.
Loreto proved too strong for Città di Castello and took the three points. The guests had a reaction only in the second set, but Loreto kept things under control and obtained a victory that sent the club up to second place, four points behind the league leaders Santa Croce, who won at the tie-break against Crema.
A tight game was expected and it was nto surprise that the derby between Latina and Roma went to the tie-break. Roma eventually clinched it, getting back to winning ways after three consecutive losses. To do so, they played a near-perfect game, making very few mistakes.
Pushed by its fans and led by Darraidou (23 points), Isernia swept Bassano. In the PalaSavena, Bologna did not manage to create the upset evben they they pushed Mantova all the way to the tie-break. Babini’s team showed signs of recovery, palyign with determination and fighting spirit but it was not enough.
On Sunday night, live on Snai Sat, Gioia del Colle took an early 2-o lead over Catania but the guests were not having it and fought back, even earning the right to play a tie-break. Hugo Conte’s Sicilian team started the fifth set well but Gioia managed to turn things around and obtained two crucial points for the playoffs. As important was the point for Catania, who has stands now four points above the dabger zone.
